The Advanced Manufacturing Training Centre welcomed Mayor of the West Midlands Andy Street during his recent visit to Coventry.
Whilst onsite, the Mayor met with representatives from the AMTC and partner Lloyds Bank to discuss how the facility is supporting businesses locally, before touring the workshops and meeting with a number of first and second year apprentices.
Andy Street was appointed the first Mayor of the West Midlands in May 2017. Formerly managing director of John Lewis, he combined his career at Britain’s most successful workers’ co-operative with a host of high-profile economic development roles, working with local and national government.
