About MTC Training

The MTC is at the forefront of technological advancements and apprentices that train on our apprenticeship programme are exposed to these new and emerging technologies as they start their careers at the home of Great British Manufacturing.

We have invested more than £36 million in training and facilities at the MTC over recent years and central to this is the Lloyds Bank Advanced Manufacturing Training Centre (AMTC).

The MTC Apprenticeship programme helps learners develop the skills needed for delivering the technologies of the future in the high value manufacturing sector.

It provides apprentices with extensive knowledge and experience in the fundamental principles of engineering whilst working alongside leading technicians, and engineers who are responsible for advanced research projects to help drive the UK manufacturing industry forward.

LLOYDS BANK PARTNERSHIP

Lloyds Bank has been actively working in partnership with the MTC as part of its commitment to supporting the UK manufacturing industry.

Established in 2015, the Lloyds Bank Advanced Manufacturing Training Centre [AMTC] based on Ansty Business Park, Coventry, is a state-of-the-art training centre designed to create a new generation of engineers and technicians to help the UK realise its potential in advanced manufacturing.

Our long term strategic partnership, including sponsorship of £10 million over 10 years, will see industry benefit from three and a half thousand apprentices, graduates and engineers being trained and developing new skills. This will help address the single biggest challenge that manufacturers consistently tell us about - the shortage of skills.
