Kicking off National Apprenticeship Week 2021!

Today marks the start of National Apprenticeship Week 2021, and we’ve got lots of activities planned to celebrate all things apprenticeships!

This year’s NAW theme is ‘Build the Future’ – a sentiment that is right at the heart of our approach to training. Here at the AMTC, we’re creating the next generation of advanced manufacturing talent through our future skills focused apprenticeships.

Our apprentices learn from proven industry experts in an environment at the forefront of technological advancements. Our programme includes exposure to disruptive technologies and new ways of working, empowering learners to help accelerate innovation when they return to their employers. An ambitious enrichment programme also supports development of the ‘soft skills’ they’ll need for professional and personal success.

The ‘Build the Future’ theme also highlights how apprenticeships will play a crucial role in helping the UK to address the challenges resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic and the STEM skills gap. We’re passionate about the exciting opportunities and fantastic benefits that apprenticeships offer both to our amazing learners and their employers, and throughout the week, we’ll be showcasing how apprenticeships are already helping manufacturing workforces to train, retain and achieve.

We’ll be sharing how apprenticeships enable our employer partners to level up and address the latest industrial challenges, as well as talking to our learners about how apprenticeships help new technicians to launch their manufacturing careers and support existing engineers to upskill and stay at the cutting edge of their sector. The week is also a chance to celebrate and recognise the flexibility, resilience and determination training providers, employers and of course apprentices have all shown

Keep your eye on our social media channels to see what we’ve got in store, and if you’d like to talk to our friendly team of training experts about how apprenticeships can help you to build your future, then please get in touch with us on by emailing apprentice@the-mtc.org. We’re looking forward to hearing from you!
