MTC Apprenticeships hosts its very first virtual open evening!

The interactive sessions will give a real insight into what it’s like to be an apprentice at the AMTC

The team at MTC Apprenticeships are inviting potential learners and their families to join their live panel online and find out more about the MTC’s award winning apprenticeship programme.

If you’re aspiring to work for some of the UK’s most forward thinking manufacturers, or you want to kick start your engineering career and earn while you learn, then make sure you join the MTC’s training team online on 24 November to find more about the opportunities on offer.

The sessions start at 4.30pm and 6.30pm and will explore what’s covered within the MTC apprenticeship programme and what to expect in the application process. They will include a virtual tour of the state-of-the-art training centre and a live Q&A. Attendees will also hear from some of the MTC’s current apprentices about their learning journey so far, as well as understanding how to stand out as one of the MTC’s employer partners shares what they’re looking for in their next recruits.

As part of the MTC’s COVID-secure measures, access to the Advanced Manufacturing Training Centre (AMTC) in Coventry is restricted to current apprentices and their trainers, and so the opening evening is being held virtually for the very first time.

AMTC Apprenticeship Programme Manager, Matthew Bastock, explained: “Keeping our apprentices safe onsite is our top priority, but it’s also essential that we make sure that the next generation of engineering talent has all the information they need to successfully embark on the next stage of their educations and careers too. By hosting our very first virtual open evenings, we’re giving potential learners a chance to get a real insight about what it’s like to be an apprentice at the MTC from the people that have already started that journey.”

You can ask any questions you have directly to the live panel of apprentices, employers and the training team during the session, but if there’s anything you’d like to know ahead of the event, then please send an email to apprentice@the-mtc.org.

To find out more and secure your place at one of the 45-minute sessions, please head over to the Open Events page on our website.
