Apprentice CAD Engineer
Regent Engineers Limited specialises in metal presswork & metal pressing, forming, metal fabrication, CNC laser cutting & machining and tooling manufacture. Over the last two years they have invested in cutting-edge fibre laser and CNC press brake machinery whilst implementing cultural change to embrace ‘right first time’ and ‘on time, in full’ working methods. They are now looking for an apprentice CAD Engineer to join their established yet expanding company to help the company to grow and expand in the coming years.
The chosen candidate will work alongside design engineers in the company’s CAD office and will predominantly work on CAD development work and fixture & jig design. The apprentice CAD engineer will also acquire a full understanding of tooling and the manufacturing process. As the apprentice progresses through their programme, they will be expected to proactively learn new skills and expand their knowledge of areas including tool and fixture design.

You will be taught skills that will help benefit both your own and the company’s future, with possible career pathways including Tool Designer or Engineering Manager roles after successful completion of the apprenticeship.
The first year of training will be on-site full time at the Advanced Manufacturing Training Centre (AMTC).
39 hours per week (Monday – Thursday 8:00 til 17:00, Friday 8:00 til 13:00)
Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience
You will have achieved a minimum of 5 GCSE’s at grade 4 or above, including Maths, English and a STEM related subject.
Candidates will be able to demonstrate a keen interest in engineering and how things work.
Candidates must be self-motivated, reliable and able to demonstrate a good attitude to work and their colleagues.
