DDR Limited (Automat, Brooknes, Deakin Davenset Rectifiers) is a specialist designer and manufacturer of industrial DC systems, battery chargers and rectifiers. With extensive knowledge in their field and being one of only a small number of similar manufacturing companies in the UK, they are now looking to take on two Apprentice Engineers to share their knowledge and experience with to help generate new ideas for the company and to further the company’s growth.
The chosen candidates will undertake rotations in all engineering disciplines, including CAD, mechanical assembly/electrical wiring, PCB assembly, and testing. This will be repeated and further rotations added in time to afford the candidates exposure to other business areas such as procurement, tendering, site installation/maintenance, and sales & marketing. The candidates will work with a mentor during each rotation to help with their learning and upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, further opportunities for progression or specialisation within the business will be discussed with the candidate and recommendations made to management.
The business as a whole is continuing to grow and they are willing to offer the right candidate the opportunity to grow with them. In return they’re looking for a dedicated individual who will be committed to a career in engineering, be punctual at all times and be willing to learn.
The first year of training will be on-site full time at the Advanced Manufacturing Training Centre (AMTC).
