  • Regent Engineers Limited specialises in metal presswork & metal pressing, forming, metal fabrication, CNC laser cutting & machining and tooling manufacture. Over the last two years they have invested in cutting-edge fibre laser and CNC press brake machinery whilst implementing cultural change to embrace ‘right first time’ and ‘on time, in full’ working methods. They are now looking for an apprentice Inspector to join their established yet expanding company to help the company to grow and expand in the coming years.

    Job Description

    Working alongside a fully-trained, time served Inspection Engineer, the chosen candidate will be testing parts to ensure they are within the specified tolerances and producing relevant reports and data sheets. You will also gain a full understanding of the manufacturing process and an understanding of fabrication and what is achievable in relation to tolerances. The aspects of inspection that you will be educated in include:

    • First off’s
    • P.P.A.P.
    • N.P.Q.P.
    • N.P.I.
    • Roaming Quality Checks
    • Inspection Ration Checks, and much more.

    Whilst working for Regent Engineers Ltd, you will be adopted into a culture of support and accountability, where you have a clear understanding of what is expected from you – this approach is what makes the team at Regent Engineers so successful. You will be taught skills that will help benefit both your own and the company’s future, with a possible progression pathway to Inspection Manager in an accelerated timeframe, where you would be in charge of your own team of apprentices and staff, after successful completion of the apprenticeship.

    The first year of training will be on-site full time at the Advanced Manufacturing Training Centre (AMTC).

    Working Week

    39 hours per week (Monday – Thursday 8:00 til 17:00, Friday 8:00 til 13:00)

    Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience

    You will have achieved a minimum of 5 GCSE’s at grade 4 or above, including Maths, English and a STEM related subject.

    Candidates will be able to demonstrate a keen interest in engineering and how things work.

    Candidates must be self-motivated, reliable and able to demonstrate a good attitude to work and their colleagues.
