The role consists of an array of disciplines, not limited to: PLC software code generation, SCADA/HMI application development, Technical document development, commissioning, working with new and innovative technologies.
Monday – Friday (inc) *8:30am – *4:30pm *Flexible working is permitted with mandatory core hours

Advanced Level Apprenticeship
An excellent opportunity to work at the top System Integrator in the country. We are looking to offer the right candidate the opportunity to complete an apprenticeship in engineering, whilst working as PLC/SCADA software engineer.
We will support you in developing your knowledge of the fundamental skills and software development methodologies you will be using on a daily basis.
You will work closely with other software engineers to further your development whilst working within a team.

- Working with new and innovative technologies

Requirements and prospects
- Can show logical thinking/reasoning skills
- Motivated and reliable individual
- The ideal candidate should be committed and hardworking with a positive attitude towards learning
- GCSE grade A (7) or above in Maths or equivalent
- GCSE grade B (6) or above in English or equivalent
- 3 other GCSEs grade C (4) or above or equivalent
Following successful completion of the apprenticeship it is likely a full time position will be offered.

Training to be provided
- Full time based at the Advanced Manufacturing Training Centre (AMTC), September 2020 – August 2021 (returning to employer during holiday periods)
- Foundation Competency and Development Knowledge training
- Gateway Assessment
Upon completion of the 1st year of study all apprentices will be required to complete and pass their Gateway Assessment, prior to returning to their employer for year 2.
Year’s 2 and 3 – In the workplace.
Apprentices in years 2 and 3 of their apprenticeship will return to work from August 2021 onwards. All apprentices will return to the AMTC to complete a block release programme to deliver the remaining units of the Diploma Qualification.
Level 3 Development Competence:
Apprentices will spend 12-24 months gaining new skills and competence in the workplace in which assessments will be carried out by a member of the AMTC team. This will ensure the apprentice can meet the requirements of the second gateway assessment prior to the end point assessment.
End Point Assessment:
Upon Completion of the above components, all apprentices will undertake an end point assessment when they have successfully completed the Gateway 2 Assessment. The End Point assessment is to be carried out at an impartial assessment centre and arranged via the AMTC.
The apprentice upon successful completion of the end point assessment will be awarded a certificate for the Engineering Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard.
