Is this course for you?
Are you an engineer or manufacturing decision-maker in your business who:
-
- Can see potential added value of using AM for making a specific part or set of components, but are not sure how to quantify it in terms of costs and benefits?
- Is concerned that adopting an AM approach is prohibitively costly, even though a component or part could deliver added benefits to traditionally-made versions?
- Recognises that AM may be a good strategic move for the business, but don’t have the tools or knowledge to accurately represent the costs and benefits to support an investment?
If you answered Yes to any of the above questions, this course is for you!
The course has fixed start and end dates, so that you will be studying along with a cohort of fellow learners to promote discussion and sharing of ideas. In addition, there will be an MTC Expert Tutor assigned to each course event, to participate in discussions, answer questions, and provide feedback and comment on course content and activities.
The course is structured into modules with 1-2 hours of study time for each module. Learning activities include online lessons, interactive exercises and guided self-study tasks to complete. You will be encouraged to share ideas, give feedback, and learn from fellow learners through participation in discussions, as well as to ask questions of the MTC Expert Tutor.
