MTC Ansty - MTC Training

We have invested more than £36 million in training and facilities at the MTC over recent years and central to this is the Lloyds Bank Advanced Manufacturing Training Centre (AMTC).

Built in 2015, this state-of-the-art building houses the latest in machine tools and new technologies to support the learning and development of engineers and technicians of today and of the future.

The building’s ultramodern conferencing and events facilities also support MTC’s training provision, with high-spec meeting spaces that are excellent venues for workshops and seminars.

Ideally located just outside of Coventry’s city centre, the MTC is less than two minutes from Junction 2 of the M6 and has more than 250 parking spaces onsite. It is also easily accessible by bus or train.

HNCs

The nationally recognised HNC provides participants with specialised knowledge and skills essential for career advancement. Whether choosing the General Engineering or the Electrical and Electronic Engineering pathway, both options offer valuable expertise in their respective fields.

This 2 year programme uses a block release model covering skills such as design, manufacture, maintenance, and mechanical and electronic engineering. The knowledge gained can be applied across a range of manufacturing industries, including high volume manufacturing and electronic engineering.

Apprenticeships

Level 3 Advanced Engineering Apprenticeship

By completing our Advanced Engineering Apprenticeship, learners gain an industry-wide recognised qualification alongside unrivalled experience and insight into the engineering sector from one of the UK’s leading manufacturing organisations.

During the 4 year programme, participants learn from proven industry experts in a purpose built environment at the forefront of technological advancements. Our programme includes exposure to disruptive emerging technologies and new ways of working, empowering employees to add value to organisations through innovation. An enrichment programme will also support development of the ‘soft skills needed for professional and personal success.

Apprentices Employers

Level 4 Advanced Engineering Manufacturing Technician Apprenticeship

The Level 4 apprenticeship is an industry recognised qualification and is designed to develop learners who are looking to progress to a higher-level technical role, which could lead to future progression into leadership roles.

This 30 month block release programme gives apprentices the flexibility to complete their qualification alongside their day-to-day role. They will explore the integrated nature of engineering, including design, manufacture, maintenance, mechanical and electronic engineering.
